Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

To be able to program a key for your car you need 3 things .... Either a PIWIS or a PST2, the IPAS Learning Code for your car and the programming code that comes with the key. The IPAS code you should be able to get from your dealer, although you may have to prove you own the car, and even then they maybe reluctant to give you it. The latter code will only be provided with a new key from the parts department, it wouldn't come with the original keys that came with your car. Edit: 4 things .... the last is the instructions on how to do the coding .... it isn't simple. I have done this in the past (I own a PST2 and PIWIS btw)

POST 3Original post

Porsche store the original remote and immobiliser codes on the IPAS system for each car, but the chances of you being able to get the codes for your old Boxster are virtually non-existent.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
