Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

For an engine there is no difference between a coupe and a cap and no difference between a manual and a Tip.

No unique explicit quoted action; no causal link assigned

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Howdy, I have a 2000 996 911, the motor is just now starting to have coolant/oil intermix issues. I am 90% sure it is the heads cracked and I do not want to mess with the original motor anymore. How much is this core worth? I would sell it as a complete unit, it still runs and sounds healthy. Thank you for your input.

POST 3Original post

How many miles? Overall condition? Cab or Coupe? Pics?

POST 5Original post

For an engine there is no difference between a coupe and a cap and no difference between a manual and a Tip. So if you are selling the engine these questions are irrelevant.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think they are inquiring about the body, which I am not selling. The engine has 119k on it. It is off a coupe/manual for what it is worth.

Shipping is an issue/cost.If you re in a metro area you have more chance of local pickup. Advertize it here on Rennlist?

POST 8Original post

Aluminum is bringing about .50 per lb. Kind of kidding, but who would buy it without knowing the problem.

Jake Raby may be interested.

Yeah if it is truly only an Intermix issue it would be a good base for a rebuild. Intermix is far from the death blow that it was believed to be in the early days. Just find/fix the crack(s) and clean the system.

POST 11Original post

You may need it as a core for your replacement engine. Don't sell until you know. Unless you're going to do a LS swap.

POST 12Original post

intermix can also be caused by a failed o-ring in the oil cooler - a $5 fix.
