Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, I'm in the process of sorting out the headlights on my 996. I need to replace & repin & the wiring harness male connectors that plug into the back of the headlight. My lights are 996 gen 2, non xenon. I can't find the part number for the connector anywhere online, can anyone help? Below are my headlights, and also what's left of my smashed up connectors. Cheers Ollie

POST 2Original post

No problem, glad to help out a fellow squashed beetle owner

POST 5Original post

I think I need to do this on my 996. Over bumps, one of the headlights flickers on and off. I'm guessing it must be quite common. Is there a how to somewhere on this forum?

POST 6Original post

Can also be the socket that it plugs into that isn't seated properly in the headlight cradle. Check first before doing anything.
