This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys. I will be picking my 1999 996 up in a week's time and I plan to replace the CD / Sat Nav head unit with a high end stereo setup including an integrated amplifier and component speakers. Does anyone know if Porsche make a genuine fascia to accommodate a standard single DIN head unit?

POST 2Original post

I am assuming you have the (almost) double-DIN PCM1. The unit mounts in a plastic cage, which is also available with two single-DIN slots. They are quite expensive though - £100.40.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard! Do you know the part number of this by any chance?

POST 4Original post

996.552.131.04.EJK (for a 99 car) You might also want the single-DIN rear support bracket for the radio: 996.552.673.02 - £14.44 inc VAT
