Sprint booster artificially changes your peddle input - for example, if you put your foot down 33% on the throttle, it'll tell the computer you are at 100%, and will send you WOT.

Evening all
I'm looking to get a manual wheel and convert my Tip into paddle shifters. Was going to use Edition9 but they appeared to have closed down. Are there any other places that offer this service? Midlands and NW preferable!

I fancied this mod but when I researched I couldn't find anywhere to carry out the work. I guess your indy might have crack at it for you. There are a couple of good write ups on Rennlist etc, one specifically has wiring diagrams.
Manual Wheel
Think you can convert your existing wheel for paddle conversion. You just disable the wiring connections to the buttons when connecting up the paddle wiring
Any decent Indy would be able to do the job.

Darren Horrocks of design 911, who I believe have moved, ([email removed]) fitted my AMG paddles to my manual wheel. I then had royal wheels cover it and the body & my Indie wired it up for me in an hour. I like it but pricey. A sprint booster at £200 would be a better option especially for a tip

So what's that like to drive with?
One drawback with the Tip is that it doesn't have a sport button, so overtaking have to force the kickdown before overtaking, then it's in Sport mode but you want to cruise again, that's why I want to fit the paddles, so how is the Sprint booster?
Although presently my Tip looses drive occasionally so I have to sort that first.

It certainly makes a tip car feel livlier and it has removed the dead spot you get in the first 10% of the peddle movement
As for the paddles - it's an easy install and makes downshifting good, but don't expect it to be revolutionary. The speed is still the same as when you use the rocker buttons on the steering wheel
