Just noticed today my window sealing isn’t acting normal. I know this has been discussed several times but it seems everyone’s symptoms can vary. 1. Door is open and the window is not down it’s estimated 1/4 inch. - I pull the interior latch and it drops, I let go and it goes back up - I pull the exterior latch and it drops, I let go and it goes back up. When I pull and release either latch and the door remains open, it should stay down and only seal back upward when the door is shut. Any ideas on where the malfunction is? Check list of things to try before replacing something? Reset battery? Etc. (I’ve already replaced this door’s pivot mechanism before) the interior door latch isn’t loose like it was when that broke, it holds tension properly. 2007 Cayman S , windows have been tinted for years. I sprayed down the car a few days ago but do not hear any sloshing or residual liquid in the door. Thanks!

I had a similar problem with my Jaguar XKR. Jag wanted $1200 per door to replace the 'computers'. I found online that there is a reset (Probably what they would have done and charged me 2400). Ignition on drive the window down holding the switch until you hear 2 or 3 clicks. Drive the window up until you hear 2 or 3 clicks. Repeat a couple of times. Then see if it has reset. Costs nothing if it works great.
