I received my BTA1000 from Bumperplugs yesterday and I tried installing it. Just hooking it up (without tucking everything in), it seemed everything was working until I tried calling and the party on the other line could not hear me. Yes, the microphone was plugged in; I even tried holding it very close to my mouth. I can hear myseld (with a bit of echo) through the speakers but the person on the other line could not. BTW, I am using a Palm Treo 750; ATT (formerly Cingular). PCM 2.1 with Dension Gateway 500 (ipod, of course). Anyone had similar problem? Any advice? I tried emailing and calling Eric but he has not answered (he must be out of town, he's usually answers promptly). Thanks in advance for your replies.

I had the BTA working with my Motorola, but plagued with echoes. I cannot get it work with the Iphone. The phone rings through the car's speakers, but the voice does not. I am going to e-mail Eric. It may be a problem with my unit. I am very disillusioned with the whole thing, I would not recommend the Bluetooth module to anyone. I would like to know if anyone has it working well. J

I Got Mine Going! Yeah, I finally got mine going. The problem was the microphone. I opened it up and discovered that the solder on the wire did not adhere to the microphone inside the housing. I re-soldered it and now it works! The only complaint I have is that the BTA keeps the pairing long after I have turned the ignition off. If I get a call during that time, and the speakers are off, I won't hear it. Ohter than that, It works well. It gives you an option to "accept" or "reject" an incoming call; allows you to voice dial as well. At 45MPH with top down (Boxster S) I can carry on a good conversation on the cell phone.
