Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, Does anyone know if it is possible to fit spax or H&R lowering springs to a Carrera 4 already fittted with MO30 suspension? I don't track the car and wouldn't want adjustable suspension without the geometry equipment to set it up, so basically would like to drop the car to around 30mm over standard but without forking out the two grand that suppliers will try and prise out my pocket. Has anyone doen this to their cars with successful results?? Thanks for any replies, Clive.

POST 2Original post

Clive - I have done just as you say - i actually went for the techart lowering springs with my M030 - well worth it - the vehicle handles better still and I really like the 'slammed' look the car has now. Check my profile for mods or drop a line in this thread if you need any more info. - Simon

POST 3Original post

Just about to do this to mine, same set, going for the H&R springs. smj996c, was anything else required, tracking ...?

POST 4Original post

I have a used set of Techart springs off my C2 if anyone's interested. I upgraded to full coilovers but kept the Techart springs...

POST 5Original post

I would be recommend that the car needs a geo to be honest, just to make sure everything is in line, but I've driven it c3000 miles and i feels just fine without (i will get this done shortly but just need to get it booked in) _ I also put a strut brace on at the same time as the springs and the steering feels a lot more sure footed.

I have a C4 so going for H&R springs, my old man has a C2 with bilstein adjustables, wheels scraping the arches, looks sooooooo good!! The standard MO30 just doesn't compete, have to do something to get the stance right, makes such a difference. Spacers will be next!
