Never put em in any of my Porsches, but have used MB Quarts (don't recall which model) in two prior cars, a Nissan SE-R and a VW Scirocco S.

Hi, I am researching what to do with the CDR24 in my Cayman (not S). I've tentatively decided to install the Pioneer AVIC-D3 with CANBUS, iPod interface, Bluetooth and backup camera. If I go this route, I'll end up taking a lot of parts out of the car (as I will do the install myself), so I figure I may as well add 2 new rear speakers while I'm at it (there are no rear speakers in the car now ), and maybe upgrade the front door speakers at the same time. The last time I tackled a project like this, I installed MB Quart speakers, which were great. Two questions: 1. Am I correct that both the door speakers and the rear speakers are 100 mm in diameter? (That would be the 210 series from MB Quart.) 2. Has anyone installed these speakers in their Cayman? Has anyone installed any other speakers in their Cayman? Any tips? Thanks much!

Wow, those are great speakers! I've had them in my BMW 530i and they sounded crystal clear with great detail. Although, I would not upgrade my Bose speakers, however I would like to know how does it sound.

Just curious, do you have the basic 4 speaker sound system, or the 7 speaker Sound Package Plus in the car now? I'd be interested in hearing how your install turns out as well.

the canbus reverse lead only works for tiptronic trans. not manual. so you will have to run another wire for the backup camera.
