Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I've only changed the fronts (as the rears had new Contisport N2s when I bought the car), so by all reckoning my car should be an uncontrollable death-trap.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had none N rated tyres on HD1 for a couple of years prior to selling it.
I had Toyos (R1's I think not the slick R888's).......they were cheap (£700 for all 4)......they didn't have the same feel on the road as my previous PS2's (felt lighter) but had no effect on the performance etc and they were probably better wearing than the PS2's.......after 16,000 miles still had 4.5mm or more on all tyres when I sold it.....
if you still use the similar manufacturer brands you may not notice a difference
but if you switch to a completely different brand you will
some cheaper tyre companies do make some interesting claims, but most of that is clever marketing

Being a born sceptic, I did assume that 'N' ratings were 'clever marketing' too!
Am I right in thinking that neither Porsche nor the tyre companies will reveal exactly what it
is
that's different about 'N' tyres.....other than to make vague (marketing?! ) claims about ride quality and the like?
Is my cynicism misplaced? :? I know this debate has been done to death, and I certainly don't want to go over it all again, but my gut feeling is that, in normal driving conditions, you'd be hard pushed to notice a difference. I just wondered if anybody had done!

I think the main difference is that the
insurance
co can refuse to pay out if you crash and have non-approved tyres on it.... this is hearsay though, not confirmed.
LOJO
yes - there is much
more
grip at the front with Vredestein Sessanta than with Pirelli Rosso N4. I've only changed the fronts (as the rears had new Contisport N2s when I bought the car), so by all reckoning my car should be an uncontrollable death-trap.
They can't refuse if I make a claim - because I've already asked them, and they don't care if they are n-rated or not.
The wife's insurers, Norwich Union, also have no problem with non-'N' tyres, although they did say they would (quite rightly) require speed/load ratings to be appropriate.
Pete
Though to be fair thats mainly because the Rossos are so flippin' awful.
Same for me, no issues from my insurers.
