I am looking to pull out the CDR-24 and put in a PCM unit with Nav, replace the steering wheel for a multi-function wheel and allow for hands free bluetooth phone use.

Ok, I have an 07 CS with a CDR-24 and a factory changer. I am looking to pull out the CDR-24 and put in a PCM unit with Nav, replace the steering wheel for a multi-function wheel and allow for hands free bluetooth phone use. I know that if I purchased the phone adapter for the PCM, it would allow me to insert an extra sim card....the problem is Cingular (i.e. ATT) sucks here so I use Verizon Wireless...and they don't use sim cards. This is the reason why I want to go the bluetooth way. Any idea on what I might need to do this? Would I have to get a Dension unit and add the bluetooth adapter, or could I skirt that with an easier option? Also, any opinions on quality of phone calls? i.e. is it even worth it? Thanks so much, Michael

The Garmin nuvi 660 GPS unit has bluetooth capability built in, has a more useful nav system than Porsche's, and costs a lot less. Seems like that may be a better solution for you.
