Very nice and clean car which has all the boxes ticked so far as maintenance and condition is concerned save that it is a Tip.

Hi guys Been looking at a 500bhp (Milltek plus full remap) 996 turbo. Very nice and clean car which has all the boxes ticked so far as maintenance and condition is concerned save that it is a Tip. Didnt have the time for a test drive and will try one later in the week but got a chance to go over the car otherwise. Have full details for the tuners whom I know to a very capable firm and will be able to discuss the power upgrade with them tomorrow. In the meantime Im operating on the basis that the figure of 500bhp is accurate. Can anyone let me know how tuned Tips cope on the road with a significant power hike? Anyone done this? Wouldnt be at all worried with a manual but do wonder how an auto box works in the real world with 80 extra bhp. Anyone any experience? Oh and out of interest I understand Tip mpg is poorer than manual. I know maps vary in balance between power and mpg but would be interested to know how tuned Tips perform mpg wise in combined driving from those of you that have done it. thanks in advance

On accounts they cope well, the autobox can cope with huge amounts of power IIRC there are very few reported problems as long as the car is serviced and maintained properly a tuned TT should provide better mpg
