Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After an OPC visit and a large wedge handed over my flat spot was still there. I let the expert know this to which he agreed to have another look. He said "Maf sensor was at fault but does not show as a logged fault we do not have one in but we have tried one from another car"?This was after he had changed the 02 sensor coil packs and plugs. Does the fault logging show all the history? Symtoms : Hesitation at 4.5 k Occasional loss of power but the full rev range is available. Sudden surge of the throttle when slowing down at a junction. I sourced one in the net after much reading and fitted this today An original Bosch part. £159. All is well. Question: Are OPC taking the piss or am I unlucky? The replaced parts that they fitted(if in fact they did) had no effect on the cars performance. Should I complain, will they listen? A 12k service is up and coming. Who should I trust? I here good and bad reports on my local indies.(Nr Leeds)
