A quick post to share a couple pictures of the GAHH seat covers I had installed yesterday by Award Interiors (Sacramento, CA).

They said using new foam is a big help to ensure a quality install, though they mentioned the need to slightly fill in on bolsters for a better fit.

For anyone in the Sacramento area, Award Interiors did an awesome job installing them. GAHH is their go-to company for most of their seat covers. They specifically have a lot of experience with Porsche 996 installs and have learned a few tricks in the process. Their opinion is GAHH makes a quality product, though they need a little help here and there to make them look the best. In my case, I had them install draped leather seat covers which included all new OEM foam. They said using new foam is a big help to ensure a quality install, though they mentioned the need to slightly fill in on bolsters for a better fit.
My impression is they look great - with little puckering that should mostly resolve over time. I think the GAHH covers give an OEM look without spending $8K or more just on leather from Porsche. I will say the smell of the new leather is intoxicating. Lol.
Anyway, hoping this thread will help out others in the future who are considering whether or not to install GAHH seat covers.
Sure, not a problem. In February, I took advantage of GAHH's 25% winter sale with tax the seat covers totaled $2355. All new foam that I purchased back in May 2022 and squirreled away was $960. Installation was $1200....so about $4500 all in. I will share that I did have a couple extra "while you're at it costs" including new seat belt receptacles, which after 22 years the red buttons had faded due to UV damage, and seat hinge covers. My Targa isn't going anywhere so the total expense was worth it to me.
I'd say the grain is very close to OEM with the leather having a slightly thicker feel. While not a perfect match I'm more than happy with it and think it should wear well for many years to come.
