Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all I just see the part in red broken. This is the left one. Driver at left. On C4s from 2003 Tiptro, it is possible to change it easily ? Without moving the gearbox or the engine ? If yes, do I need to remove all the oil from the engine ? Thank you

The 997 Scavenge pumps were designed so that on the M97 engines they could not be " installed incorrectly" .....They can still be used on M96 engines but have the overhang and can be installed in the incorrect orientation... \ Check that yours are installed properly , I have seen many cases in the last few years of them being done wrong because so many shops are now working on the engines... on the drivers side the numbers 1-3 should be on the crankshaft side and on the passenger side the numbers 4-6 should be on the crankshaft side...
