Whilst working on my car I left the drivers door open and caused the battery to go flat. I managed to jump start the car and the battery is now holding charge and everything is fine apart from the fact I'm occasionally getting the double beep on activation of the locks from the key fob. The door glass don't seem to be dropping/raising correctly. So what do I need to do to get the car back to how it was before? Thanks as always for any advice etc.

Reset the windows .. close each window then press and hold the window closed for 5 seconds . Double beep indicates a fault in the alarm or central locking system .. if it persists you need tester on the car to fault find .

Thanks how specialised a diagnosis tool would be required to identify a fault like this? If anyone has got such a tool around London and would be kind enough to check the car over I would be very grateful.

Difficult for me to say as i use rather expensive testers ( piwis and Autologic ).. you would need one that could see alarm control unit and actual values from the tester .. Durametric if any out there will be the best chance but i don't really use it im afraid ... need others to chip in here . I can see not only faults with the alarm system but positions of the central locking .. ie door locked or door secured but also alarm events and activations .. These are what triggered an alarm and also what fault the car saw when it was locked .. this is for the last 10 events of an issue . Hence alarm faults are pretty easy to diagnose . It will probably be pretty cheap to get an Indy to stick a tester on the car and say what the issue is . Reset the windows first and see how you get on .
