RPM recommended the Sebro discs paired with the Textars as that's what they use.

(I now use brembo performance pads as they're better for a little track work, but they squeal more often on the road, so pays your money makes your choice)

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Afternoon! Just had my c4s MOT'd and the rear discs are an advisory so going to have them done, I can do the work myself but just looking at parts... I've been told Sebro discs and Textar pads are the ones to go for, can order these on ECP for a reasonable price but there seem to be a few options - I guess because of the difference with the c2/4 and the c4s/turbo brake setups. Can someone confirm the rear discs are 330mm? The other option is 299...which I assume is for the non-turbo brakes? And then with pads the only rears that are listed are these: https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/p/textar-brake-pad-101330176 And in the fitment details it says ''disc size 299. exclusion Carrera 4' Which has further confused me! any help appreciated, cheers

POST 2Original post

My 2004 997 C2 uses 299mm * 28mm on the rear. I just bought some from ECP and the garage fitted them. EDIT, Ignore everything above I thought it was a 997 According to D911 your rears are 330mm x 28mm.

POST 3Original post

Yep. 330mm x 34mm front, 330 x 28mm rear. Texar seem to get a good rep but I've always gone Brembo, matching disks and pads. (I now use brembo performance pads as they're better for a little track work, but they squeal more often on the road, so pays your money makes your choice) Don't forget handbrake shoes (inside rear disks) and consider buying two new springs too for the handbrake mechanism. Common failure point (while you're in there)

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

cool, thanks guys so 330mm rear discs...I guess that means the Textar pads won't fit then, might have to be a separate order, design911 looks to have the rear pads of the c4s/turbo being the same as the c2 fronts... RPM recommended the Sebro discs paired with the Textars as that's what they use. would consider the brembos too though to be fair
