Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

i hear a huge squeaking sound whenever i make a stop. This sound comes right before the complete stop. its getting worse and worse everyday. does anyone know whats wrong with car???

POST 2Original post

I can't be of much help diagnosing this problem, but if you're talking about a suspension noice my car does the same thing. Just as the suspension settles when I come to a complete stop there's a sqeak. I know it's on both sides of the car and possibly from all 4 corners. I'll have to pay attention on the way home tonight. It's never sounded like a problem, but it would be good to know what it is. 2007 CS, 2,300 miles. It's done this since I got it. The noise is not very loud and not getting noticabeably worse. PASM suspension. Anyone else? Greg

POST 3Original post

i dont know... is it because of hot weather?? i am in michigan and now temperature is like 90+.... car wasnt doing this until last week and since it got hot now i hear this weird sound everytime i make a stop...

POST 5Original post

ive been looking for those mice throughout the whole night and cant find em... probably they are under my seat...

POST 6Original post

OK, I guess I owe you a serious reply. Is the squeak from the chasis or the brakes? How often do you dirve the car? How hard do you dirve the car?

POST 7Original post

i think its from brakes. i drive my car everyday. i do sometimes abuse it but i never track or drive like crazy during the normal days. now i have 2300 miles on mine. (i had it for only about 2 month) this squeak sound comes out when i drive more than 30 miles a day i think... (i wonder if it does something to brake or wheels if i drive longer then usual for each day....) like in the morning. i hear no squeak at all. but like during the lunch time(by then i have like 15-30 miles) now sometimes it squeaks and after 5pm - 12 am i hear this squeak sound the most... but next day morning i hear nothing again... weird

POST 8Original post

********!!!!!!!!! ******** Maybe this will help...The brake squeak is caused by a build up of brake dust on the pads & rotors. If you do your own car wash, put the hose inside of the wheel & flush out the brakes. When you're done washing, back up fast & brake hard one time. This has worked for me for years.

POST 9Original post

i went car wash and now squeak went away but now i got TPMS problem... its not flat but keep on saying its flat...

POST 10Original post

Have brakes checked, pads and rotors. Know your allowable pad thickness. If they are good, try braking a little more aggressively than you normally do, and see if that makes a difference.
