getting things ready for the major "preventive" chnages to my 2002 996 C4, to include replacing the original AOS with this "ultimate AOS" from the actual manufacture's website since the LNE website is still listed as "not available".

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hi all.
getting things ready for the major "preventive" chnages to my 2002 996 C4, to include replacing the original AOS with this "ultimate AOS" from the actual manufacture's website since the LNE website is still listed as "not available". I called LNE since there does not seem to be any phone number at UAOS website - to confirm that a) LNE does not have the UAOS and b) the UAOS website is legit. The person @LNE explained to me that UAOS website is selling the same directly from his "manufacturing location" and then LNE is a "vendor" for these products.
So. I went back to UAOS website and ordered the UAOS-elite (didn't need elite - but why not since it's a 1-time replacement (hopefully)).
Ordered + PAID on 01/22.
Expecting an order confirmation e-mail = nada
Expecting a shipping info = nada
Waited a week, still = nada
02/02: Sent
[email removed]
and email asking status = nada
02/03: Sent another email to
[email removed]
= nada
#started PAYPAL claim - see if they can get a response from
[email removed]
Now, having to push back the IMS-solution replacement +many other stuff back until this is finalized with or w/o the UAOS!!!
Anyone purchased from UAOS directly lately and gotten anything - email or actual product?
thanks
thank you fir the link -
didnt see all this.
I just went to the website and ordered after I called LNE to confirm the website.
will wait.

Mr Brazeel reached out to me and we spoke on the phone.
He gave me a 1 minute rundown of his medical hospitalization & recent discharged and recovery.
We chatted and i profusely apoligized for not knowing and explained myself.
He was very kind & very understanding of the situation.
Higher priorities - of course.
He states that they are slowly working to fulfill the orders
He gave some recommendations and I agreed and gave him the items that I was planning to replace as 'prevention'
"GOOD GOOD"
Told him whenever for the UAOS - ALL GOOD!!
thanks again to the RENNLIST 996 group for the info - this and others.
Best
@Porschetech3
is one if not the greatest asset in our 996 rennlist community. We all look forward to his healthy return to the discussions here. Glad you got to speak with him personally.
What is your real name or email and I'll get my Son to check on it ....he is shipping out 996.2 and 996.1 first then 1999 models the 997.1 models then Boxster / Cayman models..
UAOS UPDATE:

@Porschetech3

THANK YOU!!!
Keep Up Your Road to FULL Recovery!!
Best -
UAOS arrived!!!! TY Mr. CB!!
Report from home is that I received a package while I'm out of town for the past 10 days on a bit of a ski jag. Looking forward to my new UAOS and track drain when I get back. Thanks Skip!
Today is the first day I have woke up in my own bed since Dec 2 of last year ...( Spent the last few weeks at my Sons house in the down-stairs apartment due to a stair-case at my house that i could not yet climb )...The health professionals say I'm lucky to alive with what I went through, but I was unconscious through most of it ...My Son and Grandson have been trying to keep up with UAOS orders, but with my Son having a full time job at the County and a side Business as an Electrical Contractor, and my Grandson still in high school, they could not keep up with the orders....
I have about 20 more orders to fill to be caught up....Wish me luck !!!!
EDIT :: BTW I still don't have the strength to drive the 996, (getting out of it from such a low position ) so I bought a beater (2014 Edge with 168K miles) to get around in till I can again drive the 996 as my daily .....
Yes it does but is quite simple and straightforward being only slightly more work than just replacing the factory AOS....I already did the hard work of inventing and manufacturing it .....:
Also, there are a few different sets of instructions in this thread:

If you hit a wall, I recommend posting to that thread and someone will try to answer your questions, if Skip doesn't beat us all to the punch.
Hey Skip, judging by your story I would say you were one sick guy, like, holy moly sick. I say take it easy on yourself, just do as much as you think is enough and not one bit more. I don't know what hit you but clearly you got worked. People aren't trached and hospitalized for that length of time for nothing. I for one am surprised that you are dealing with all this as much as you are. It must be some sort of entertainment or therapy for you. Cheers.
Wonderfull advice thank you !! .
I hope I can get caught up and keep it under control without much fuss... I really need to keep busy during my retirement and rehab, but don't need any stress !!!
i see that SKIP already answered & OP with the link.
for me - trying to 'stay ahead and do preventions'
am gathering the items...as my 996.2 C4 will be getting major work done by 'relatively local porsche indy @rennsport in sealy, tx for IMS-solution + 'while they are in there with RMS, clutch, flywheel + + + and all open ..... + UAOS
i forgot to ask them if they will be dropping the engine for all the work - i only assumed since there is much to do ....
@GC996
yup - that's included in the "+ + +" = there is a lot within these 3 "+" to unpack including water pump. thanks.
Now my 2002 C4 with 48K miles, getting some of the major "preventive" items will be the 1st step.
I love driving this machine. of course, much, much different league than my very 1st car - 1989 miata (manual) convertible!
nothing like driving a manual on a winding back road! (again)
Quote/explanation from a forum member:
"Did you know that the inventor/seller of the UAOS was in the ICU for a long time a few weeks ago?"
Ok, glad that you now know what happened before posting this derogatory title/thread. I understand why you posted this not needed thread. Before you posted this title/thread just wished you searched forums a bit for all the posts about Skip being hospitalized and his family trying to get orders out but running behind.
Maybe now you know what happened, you can edit the title or ask forum admin to delete it or title it to something you think is more appropriate. As its a bad look for a great forum member that is one of the biggest contributors to the 996 community with the situation out of his hands. If people just read your title, like many do that are browsing/surfing the forums, they will get the wrong idea. Just saying he and his business doesn't deserve this thread as titled, imho...
But by all means do whatever you think is appropriate, just a suggestion, take it or leave it....

@allcool
