Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Well, I looked under "Stupid" in the search functions and couldn't find a match, so I guess I have to be first on this one.... Changing my wiper blades, the clip does not slide in properly, I remove the clip and the passenger side blade arm SNAPS back on to the windsheild with no wiper...without the blade on the arm, it's like a nice, strong, spring-loaded hammer. $863 windshield....again...after just replacing the damn thing 2 months ago from a rock chip / crack. Ugh. Paul

POST 2Original post

I feel your pain. I have a gas tank to prove it

POST 3Original post

I did a similar thing on my Corvette but didn't break the glass, just gave me a heart attack. I now put a towel over the windshield when I work on the wipers.

POST 5Original post

Thanks Devo for sharing this, it could have happened to any of us. I'll watch out for that. Nick
