Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any recommendations on a hand held code reader that will access and read/reset all modules on a 996.1. I have an old clone durametric which will access the DME but just triggered an air bag light and this won't access the module. Ideally something under £100. What you chaps using that definitely works.

POST 2Original post

The Foxwell NT530 claims to do all of this so I ordered one just the other day as my airbag light came on. It was £126 so fingers crossed it's a worthwhile purchase.

Keep me posted when it turns up Barry, could be just what I need.

POST 6Original post

Quick update to say I'm really pleased. It arrived today and once you have installed the Foxwell software onto a windows computer and created an account you can plug the reader in and install the Porsche software onto it. Plugged it in and scanned the car which picked up the fault under the drivers seat as expected and cleared it down thereby turning off the warning light. Hopefully my fix will suffice; however, if it comes back on at least I know the issue and can reset it again.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers Barry, I'll get one on order

POST 8Original post

I've actually got one for sale, if you like - only used it a few times, but now need to log live data for a remote remap, so have invested in a Durametric. Would be happy to let it go for £95 +p&p if you like, plus I actually know where this one is (in the car), unlike the Sprintbooster I tried to sell the other day but wasn't where I thought it was! :frustrated:
