Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hello: I have an oil leak on the rear intake tube closest to the seat and it’s more apparent when I rev the engine. The AOS has been replaced 2K miles (about 10months) ago. Then the Indy cleaned all the intakes, had new plugs installed, etc. The intake closest to the bumper and with the AOS return pipe is oil and leak free. No other oil anywhere in the engine and no oil on the floor. There are days when I’ve seen white smoke in the morning but usually after the car sitting around for several days. Could this be a case of a defective AOS? Or something else? Is there a reason for the AOS to fail so quickly? Trying to see what should be looked at to address the problem. Thanks!!

POST 2Original post

The pipe on the intake that’s closer to the seat is called a resonance tube. Good article: What does this do. Resonance Tube... - ******** - Porsche Discussion Forums Anyone have any idea on what it means if the resonance tube is leaking oil?
