Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I basically pulled that yellow cable sticking out from the wheel well wall, from the front to the back while trying to open the trunk thinking it was the emergency release cable located right under it, after my battery died from staying few days on the jack stands while I changed all pads and rotors. But now my airbag light stays on the dash and the heated seats don't work anymore !! what exactly did I unplug or broke ? I know now I might have to remove the bumper to see what happened, what a pain ! But it would be nice to know what is that cable for. I dowloaded all the wiring harness files and went through every one of them, but could not figure out what is that yellow calbe ! Thanks for your help ! [/IMG]

POST 2Original post

Hi I have just done the same, did you find out what it was and how you fixed it ??

POST 3Original post

Well that makes three of us.... We have to remove the front bumper. The yellow wires have been yanked from the sending unit for the drivers side airbag sensor. It sits somewhere under and in front of the headlight. I had a body shop show me this exact area on a partially repaired 987.2.
