Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi there. does anybody have any clue where I can lay my hands on a 997 GT3 style front bumper to suit my mark 1 996? They are all over Google but all dealers are in the states, although some list the bumpers as being imported from Germany - can anyone help me in locating please??..... Thanks! :food:

POST 2Original post

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

997 gt3 front bumper to suit 996 (mark 1).. Daniel, thanks for your reply! I know it's usually best to stick to the original but this front end really rocks.... any ideas where I can get hold of one from within Europe (ideally the U.K)?

POST 4Original post

Hey Gary, I would try Gert at http://www.carnewal-europe.com/ would be a good start ? Is this something you can buy in the US ? It looks like a standard GT3 (mk1) bumper that has had the middle cut out ? I could be wrong.. It has been slow on here the last few days, give it a few days and I am sure someone will be along with the answer. So, whats your MK1 like Gary ?

POST 5Original post

Before that picture went up I was imagining something horrible. However, that front spoiler looks great - almost OEM in fact. Much better than the standard front apron that came on on the C2 & C4 cars. Sorry I can't be of help here but good luck in the search. ~ Maxie

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Daniel, I'll check it out... Otherwise, it's my first Porsche. Always wanted one, and now I can't hide the smile on my face everytime I look at it 8) P.s: also thanks to Maxie

POST 7Original post

Be wary if it's in glass fibre as many of these aftermarket jobbies are. Being so low it won't be long before you clip something with it and crack it. Hopefully it will be made in flexible plastic as from the factory. I'm not 100% on the look myself. I agree better than standard C2 fare but not sure it's better than the GT3 front end..... J

POST 8Original post

Van Zweeden are a good source to check out. Cargrapics /Parr are worth reseearching too!. Big Bob

POST 9Original post

Hi Gary and welcome, Ditto to what Jeff said, on the front you don't want any GRP, stick to the flexable PU type. Here's a few companies to check, by the way that looks like a picture from AWE Tuning... Precision Porsche Mashaw FVD TechArt SpeedArt ZeroSun GMG All are very 'American' in their styling but might have what you're looking for :thumb:

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guy's, thanks very much for the tips & advice, it's all really appreciated! I have spent a while checking out all the options. I have been offered a GT3 cup front bumper, this would be a good upgrade for my standard C2 front end. I'm still thinking about it....
