Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Finally the weather is nice! Time to take some pics of the new wheels I just got from Wheel Dynamics. Eli is great to work with and I highly recommend them.

POST 2Original post

Very nice. 19s right? BTW... any vids on the sound of your car? Most be loud with all those mods?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep 19's. No sounds clips yet. I get compliments all the time for the sound though. Most are surprised to hear that it is just straight pipes when they ask what type of exhaust I have installed.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just adds spice to the driving experience.

POST 5Original post

I came across a set of Fabspeed pipes but the seller even talked me out of it as he said they were loud! I currently have the Fister Ds and they sound fine. Just wondered feedback from straight pipes owners. How is the cabin noise? Can you listen to the radio or your passanger?

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8371887

Damn straight.

POST 8Original post

I went from fabspeeds to fisterDs and I dont regret it at all. Fabspeeds where louder but they also droned....

POST 9Original post

i had fabspeed catbypass and muffler bypass, all i can say is that i got pulled over by the police the second day i had them, i loved the sound, it was a wonderful melody but very very loud when you got both could hear me like half a mile away at wot i kept the catbypass but put back the stock mufflers ps: are they sellling your wheels in 18" ??

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8373012

I bet the catbypass made it VERY loud. Cops don't really bother me around here and I am pretty much the only Black 996 in town. My old wheels - Yea i would sell them. I found out they are actually 993 wheels. They are a little nicked up but could be good track wheels. Interested?

POST 11Original post

Quotes source post: 8373030

both together yes very, right now i would say its between the 2... no i mean your new wheels, are they making them in 18?

POST 13Original post

Nice wheels. Oh, and the winter skyline of the midwest. Ain't nothing else like it. Thank God! Sincerely, Macster.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8373053

ohhhhh. nope just 19's unfortunately. I was a bit skeptical buying 19's but they fit is pretty good. Just a tiny bit less rubber of course.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source posts: 8373302, 8373329, 8373358

Thanks. I was surprised how well they looked after I put them on. Please don't remind me where I live. Only 8 months left and I am going to kiss the Midwest goodbye!! What do you recommend? H&R's? I am a bit nervous because there isn't much room between the fender and wheel in the rear.

POST 17Original post

Quotes source post: 8373380

Looks like you have a little over an 1" of clearance. Maybe the M030? That would lower by 10mm (3/8"). Maybe?

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8373507

Might be my next project. My Porsche funds are running a bit low at the moment.

POST 19Original post

Same boat here...just ordered my rear Sumi's last night from TR for the Summer. Stuff is accumulating and I need to put it on the car. Good thing is I am getting close to where I want the car.

POST 20Original post

Ryan: those wheels look effing HOT. Nice work my friend. What size/brand tire did you go with for the rears? The previous owner put 275/30-19 on those same wheels (in silver) on my car, and they look a little stretched. Yours don't look as stretched as the General Exclaims on my car do. I've got to burn down those Generals and put some stickier and wider rubber on. That'll happen as soon as it starts to get warm, which should be sometime in mid-July at this pace.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8373666

Mine are Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's 275/30/19 in rear and 235/35/19 in front. They don't seem that stretched. Maybe Generals fit different. I do agree, fatter rubber may be needed next time. One good pothole and I'm done.
