Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So after 36 years of excuses and being practical, I'm about to buy my first Porsche. I'm looking at used 2013-2014 911
Carrera
's (991). For those who have had one, would buying a 911 with 40,000 miles worry you?
That type of mileage brings a
Carrera
S into my price-range.
Thanks

My buddy just got a 2013
911S
CPO with 38 miles. He got the CPO to rule out any worry. Cars been great for the month he has had it.

Thanks for the info.
I'm more apprehensive about the mileage due to potential rattles and resale. I found a 2013
Carrera
S that fits the bill nicely. It's not a CPO but does have about a year and 8,000 miles remaining on the factory warranty.
Decisions... Decisions...
So I put a deposit on the 2013
Carrera
S I mentioned at the beginning of this post. I'm flying to TX Wednesday to look at it in person and if the pictures don't lie, I'll have a pretty bad-*** 911 very soon!

A 991 with 40k miles probably has been used like a normal car...almost daily, and a bunch of highway/commuting miles. If it's been serviced properly, and hasn't had any serious repeat problems, I wouldn't sweat over the miles.
From what I can find it's had no documented mechanical problems and no body work of any type.
I have a friend who is a Porsche tech and ran it though their service system and it had no issues.
To say I'm anxious is an understatement!
A pretty thing...but I'm a sucker for silver on black...
Fwiw, we were knocking on 50 before finally being able to take the plunge. Better late than never...enjoy!
I had the ability to buy one when I was in my 30's but decided to invest in tech stocks instead... then the dot-com bubble burst...
It's taken a long time to get back.
Yes it is!
Thanks! It's in another state, so I will inspect it in person this week and if it's in the condition they claim, I will have it within a week.
Nice looking car. Looks like a good used car buy and what you want. The price is the next question though.
40k miles is baby now-a-days. I wouldnt be concerned about that...you know it runs and wasn't a garage queen.
Thanks!
It's really hooked up:
PDK
,
PASM
,
Sport Chrono
,
PDLS
, Premium Plus, SportDesign Steering Wheel, Folding Mirrors, Sunroof,
Bose
and some others I can't remember.
Only thing I wished it had was Sport
Exhaust
and parking sensors.
I don't think there's any doubt that I'll have a lot to say about it. I'm planning on recording the delivery, hopefully that works out.

So my car is scheduled for pickup at my dealer this Tuesday with a Friday delivery date. I'm not sure I'll make it that long, but I'll have to try.

Read some of the threads about pre-delivery, and the first time you drive it. Someone (Cameown?) wondered if it was OK to giggle like a little girl. Six months in, I still giggle when she sings her 4000+ RPM song.
If I were you, I probably wouldn't sleep tonight. Congrats. Looking forward to more pics. I think all the journalists are overly critical of the 991. I think you're gonna love it.
