Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Is there an option to select RED calipers on a non S 911 ? If so, how much are they and where is that option located. It's not that I want to be an "S" wanna be, They look good and seem to hold up well. Thanks

POST 2Original post

No option, Red is S or GTS or something other than base. I suppose you could upgrade to S brakes with your Dealer after you purchase the car. But why? I seem to remember some Posts about painting or stickers. I have Porsches with and without red calipers and I really don't notice much of a visual difference side by side in the garage.-Richard

POST 3Original post

We have caliper paint kits available with high temp Dupli-Color paint using ceramic resins, and your choice of PORSCHE stickers to apply. Let us know if we can help! Porsche Brake Caliper Paint

POST 4Original post

You can go the expensive route as I did ($1,500) and have the brakes dismantled by the dealer, powder coated, and then re-assembled. I did it a few months after getting the car and rationalized it as just another expensive Porsche option (whatever it takes). They still look great and i don't regret it. I had the dealer do it to avoid any possible future issues relating to painting them and to make sure I had somewhere to turn to if I had any brake system leaks after the dismantle (I was not confident I could do it myself). Did not do it to be a wannabe S but thought that a Guards Red car without red calipers looked unfinished.

POST 5Original post

If you are going to spend that much, I would had purchased a Brembo BBK's, it comes in whatever color you want and the rotors and calipers will be bigger.
