Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Not my cup of tea, and as mentioned see it installed elsewhere before you screw it to your wing/engine lid and regret it later.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

whats everyones view on this.....I was considering for my car but wonder if it will look a little chavvy on my polar silver motor. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=380093898065

POST 2Original post

Not sure I put it on my car :dont know: Mite look better painted :dont know:

POST 3Original post

Those pictures are of a 997, do they have any of it fitted to a 996? Also how is it fitted, screws, tape, glue? You may have to drill into your retractable spoiler... Carbon on silver works but just make sure it doesn't look 'stuck on' as it's a failry small addition...

POST 4Original post

Reminiscent of the "hoop" spoiler/high level brake light combo of the 993 (except that was mounted below the window line) Not my cup of tea, and as mentioned see it installed elsewhere before you screw it to your wing/engine lid and regret it later. Can't just polyfiller the holes after.

POST 5Original post

The advert says it all "NEW 99-04 PORSCHE 996 TART STYLE CARBON FIBER BOOT SPOILER" not a good look IMO and I wonder is it affects the aerodynamics of the car

POST 6Original post

I think they mean TechArt but can't spell or know what they're talking about... :?

POST 7Original post

Personally I think they have spelled it correctly :hand:

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I agree with you guys.....after looking at it again this morning in the sober light of day (and not after a bottle of vino) . I think it would look naff.

POST 9Original post

I think rear spoilers make a 911. Without them they look a little bland in my opinion. Bring back the whale tail I say! Big Bob

POST 12Original post

I actually quite like it. On that 997 it looks great. I'd just wonder if it helps with the aerodynamics and keep the back end glued to the road as per the original idea. ~ Maxie

POST 13Original post

That is the concept and of course it does. However recognising my own limited driving ability, I suspect that I probable will not see that added aerodynamic capability on British roads. Of course lowering the car adds even more by excluding air from under the car, which gives an added aerofoil effect on the top surfaces of the vehicle and pushing it down on the road. Mind you if you go for this option too, make sure your tooth fillings are secure  Regards Bob Bax

POST 14Original post

Its a copymark trademark thing, they dont want to be sued. You also see on ebay people using "TA" to describe Techart lookalikes etc

POST 15Original post

There is a version available with a heater element built in. It is available for TVR's. Not sure if it's out for a Porsche yet though. I think it's designed to warm the hands on a long cold push after a breakdown. :floor:
