Ok help out a newbie, I have done a ton to my car though mostly visual, repair, maintenance (most not needed but I wanted to learn and be capable of doing anything to the car).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just heard back from Fabspeed. Exhaust normally with sort cats and tips - 1695 3 or more - 1495 Maybe we can get a better deal if more join in. Anyone interested? Post up.

POST 2Original post

I'd be in for just the secondary bypass pipes if the pice is right!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well if I get the exhaust I'll sell you mine and it will offset my price. They have about 500 miles on them.

POST 4Original post

Can I just re-confirm ? The price is for the rear muffler (exhaust), sports cat and tip ?? Hmmm, I had a look at one of the online sites and for the same price, they were offering just the rear muffler or at least the picture showed only that (description was alittle sketchy),

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yup Sport cats, muffler and tips included.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anybody in so far? Jaay - Confirmed ? ? ?

POST 9Original post

Ok help out a newbie, I have done a ton to my car though mostly visual, repair, maintenance (most not needed but I wanted to learn and be capable of doing anything to the car). I haven't touch air intake or exhaust other then removing and cleaning throttle body. I have watch some fabspeed videos on internet but haven't taken the time to dig in and really understand. I am very interested. Will the car drone at highway and be tiring on long trips (though I do so few), will I have no issues with inspections, is performance noticeable? Is there a good place to research what is included in this deal....or should I just go learn and come back later Thanks guys, ...oh 2000 'S' manual.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

From the research Ive done. There have been no drone issues. Can't go by me though.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone interested? It only takes three to get a good price.

POST 12Original post

I may interested I'm in for some exhaust work asap but I'm concerned about the drone. I don't drive the car often but when I do I'm there for an hour each way. I have some maintenance to take care, the MAF is throwing up a CEL and the rear cats are on their last legs (now gettting a rattling sound). My Indy can take a while to turn around a car since he's usually booked solid so I need to figure out when I can be without the car for a few weekends. In the meantime shopping for a Dansk and open to other no-droners.

POST 13Original post

I went to their site and am looking into it. How well would this work without the headers, I see they are not included (or did i misunderstand). Also how important is a ECU upgrade. Do folks have cell light issues? Again newbie but starting to get interested in performance add ons. Thanks for the help. Oh and everything in this picture without the headers?:

POST 14Original post

Yep, all but the headers, that is my understanding. ECU upgrade would help I imagine but is it really needed? No CEL! Bump for a good group buy!!

POST 15Original post

Take it from someone who has researched virtually every known exhaust brand for the 986 boxster over the years, Fabspeed's products have culminated into some really good stuff. Were it not for the fact that my vehicle is already equipped with a full aftermarket exhaust system, I wouldn't hesitate to jump on this offer.

POST 16Original post

I'd also be in for secondary bypass pipes if the price is right.

POST 17Original post

Did anyone go through with this buy? I'm still tempted to do it.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have had no real response from anyone. Pm me with your info of you are really willing to go through with it.

POST 19Original post

Are these not the same at $1489.00 ? http://store.trgparts.com/fabspeed-986-boxsters-performance-exhaust-p8863.aspx?utm_medium=cse&utm_source=googlebase

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hmmm. Intereting. I'll have to ask my sales rep what the deal is.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
