Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

from what i have read on this form on slow hot cranking with a tested good battery is
Leading evidence: 'Test good battery is' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'csp sensor' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check list' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
If your battery is at 100%, more than likely a weak starter or the Y-cable, or both.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

they weren't before but I suspect the new CSP sensor did the trick here.
my car has had this symptom since I bought it.
warm/hot starts are fine. they weren't before but I suspect the new CSP sensor did the trick here. the car also got a new regeneration valve in the engine bay when the rebuild happened.
fueling is difficult. I need to angle the hose handle correctly to pump gas into the tank without it constantly clicking /stopping.
when I stop for fuel, I always fill up. go inside and pay. when I come back out and start the car, the vehicle will turn over very slowly but eventually start. this happens 90% of the time I get gas. I'm always a little surprised when it doesn't happen....
what could be the culprit? the old crankshaft position sensor was broken. split down the middle. figured that was my issue but it only seemed to take care of the warm/hot starts and not the starts after refueling.
I have the same issue with a weak start when the engine is hot. Normally I noticed after a long drive and I stop to get fuel... It's a weak start as if the starter isn't getting enough volts. My shop recommended we change the Alternator to Starter cable, as this may be at fault due to age or corrosion.
The Y cable for hot engine slow start problems. Also, heat soak of the starter makes it work harder and it could be on the way out. If your battery is at 100%, more than likely a weak starter or the Y-cable, or both. The fueling issue could be the 12 or 23 valves located here:

Sorry, depending on model - 12 and 21 here

What if you stop for the same amount of time and then restart it but w/o fueling. Will it crank slow too? The starter cranking speed should have nothing to do with gas fill up at all, right?
Sounds like a purge valve. If its stuck open. All depends on when the purge system opens? Ahsai, any information on what levels the purge system run?
I know for what I'm used to working on, its between 25-85% of fuel tank capacity, nothing more, nothing less.
If it runs all the time, then it could be sticking open on startup, creating a lean condition, which the DME takes a little longer to compensate for.......but I have been wrong before.
from what i have read on this form on slow hot cranking with a tested good battery is
1. y cable
2. starter
just the act of re-fueling should no way affect cranking speed
My Porsche also does not like to start warm.... sometimes it is a little embarrassing using it to run errands on the weekends because it hates starting every 15-20 minutes...
We seem to have a check list:
1. Vent valve
2. Purge valve
3. Y connector
4. Starter motor rebuild
5. Battery S.O.C. & S.O.H.,connection integrity.
Really need to measure the amperage draw of the starter motor when doing a hot restart to identify a high resistance. If the starter spins at normal speed during a hot restart , it is probably O.K.
