Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. A fairly short ride on the track in a GTS changed my outlook on the 911 and I am looking forward to read how you compare it to the Boxster.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

27 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Well, my 2009 Boxster S will turn 2yrs old on the 30th, but I won't celebrate it. I just traded it in on a 2011 GTS!!! What do you think?

POST 2Original post

I really want to see it but the picture is so small

POST 3Original post

That picture is from the dealers site. I'm gonna shoot a few pics later today when (if) the sun comes out and post later. What a car!

POST 5Original post

Congratulations. The GTS is a superb car and will become one of the best 997s in years to come.

POST 6Original post

Congratulations, you have my car. When can I come and get it back? :hilarious:

POST 8Original post

Congratulations! A fairly short ride on the track in a GTS changed my outlook on the 911 and I am looking forward to read how you compare it to the Boxster.

POST 9Original post

Here are a couple of pics, not the best, I'm working on that...this car has a lot of adds too: Electronically Adjust Seats ,SportChronTmrDspl-CarraraWhite, GTS Sidestrip Model Des Silver,Headlight Cleaner Ext Color Porsche Crest on Headrests ,Aluminum I-GearLever&HndbrkLvr,BOSE© Surround Sound System ,CD/DVD Auto-Changer XM© Radio ,Side Skirts Painted ,Deletion of Alcantara© package,Spoiler Lip Painted .Front Intake Grill Ext Color Instrument Dials Carrara White,Rear Console Exterior Color ,Dynamic Cornering Light ,Self Dimming Mirrors ,Sports Suspension Sport Chrono Package Plus ,Heated Seats (Front) ,Lower Rear Panel Painted. My initial impression is WOW, what a car. I can't say much about performance yet, breaking it it, but I can tell there is a lot more here than my Boxster had. The space inside is very welcome! The ride is comparable to the Boxster. Only have 200 miles on it, so we'll have fun getting used to it!!

POST 10Original post

You did what I want to do! Congrats This is first 911 in awhile that has peaked my interest. Please update us with your impressions. What is your intended use...DD, AX, track or queen?

POST 11Original post

It'll be a good weather dd, so in reality, a queen.

POST 12Original post

Congrats. I drove a 2011 GTS last week and loved it. Great choice.

POST 13Original post

Yeah, congrats indeed! The GTS is the first 911 to peak my interest in while. Therefore, I've not gone to look/drive one!!!

POST 15Original post

Wow, that is one good looking car. Congrats man! Enjoy and take care of her... I see you are good on the taking care of part as evidenced by the carpets under your tires. What is the purpose for those? Don't you still get the floor dirty driving up to them? :taunt: Seriously though. Awesome looking car and great specs!

POST 17Original post

The carpets have just become a habit. I did the epoxycoat flooring and used the carpets to prevent the tire marks at first. Now, it marks the parking spot. I can actually feel driving up on them, so thats where I park. Kinda pathetic huh?

POST 18Original post

Awesome car, that's the 911 I'd get if i could afford a 911, lol.

POST 19Original post

Thanks. I finally came to the realization that you only live once, so figured why not!

POST 20Original post

Congrats and I think I will be following in your footsteps in 9 months!

POST 22Original post

Congrats on the GTS. I had the original Boxster S and then a PDK C2S, and this one is by far a better car (I know, unfair to compare to a 986). While some may like the GT3 over a GTS, to me it's the perfect 911. Even though the price of the GTS ups the ante compared to a C2S, you get what you pay for, and there isn't much else to add to it unless you have to have all of the interior upgrades. And when you try to compare to a GT3, it's somewhat apples/oranges as the GT3s are more trackable. Personally, I prefer the shape of the Carrera without the wings on the rear, and the GTS has the WB which the base GT3 doesn't. I LOVE mine...hopefully I'll be wide enough to keep it when the 991 comes around...

POST 23Original post

I've had a company car for 20 years, so my 09 Boxster S was my first purchase in that time. I loved it with a few exceptions. First, the cabin is a little small. Second, all my friends called a chic car. Third, my wife hated it! I've always dreamed of a 911, but never thought it could ever happen. We stopped at the dealership to look at a black edition carrera and my saw the GTS and said what about that one! Needless to say, we got a little closer at that moment..... So far I love this car. Black is very hard to keep in the condition I like, but so far I'm keeping up with it. The room in this car is very nice, the sound of the PSE puts a constant smile on my face and the power is perfect! Dreams do come true.

POST 24Original post

I'm adding a SharkWerks Center Muffler Bypass next week...can't wait to hear that sound every time I get going!

POST 25Original post

I don't know if I'm more impressed by the car or the garage, it's a close call. I cannot let my girlfriend see these pictures or I am in deep trouble. We have been arguing over the merits of cleaning the garage (of course I would be the one who would do it) and my reply is always, "but it's a garage." Her retort is that you cannot put a Porshce in such a messy, dirty garage. If she sees your pictures, I will be spending an hour a day sweeping the garage. Anyway, good luck with your new car.
