The dipped is so good that I very rarely use high-beam these days.

I have become increasingly frustrated with not being able to see anything at night with the old Halogens on my 996. A mate of mine said that there are HID conversion kits available to upgrade to Xenons. Is this true, and, if so, can anyone recommend the best (and easiest to fit) kit?
In addition, I would like to upgrade all the other bulbe (front and rear) to LEDs or the best lights available. Can anyone recommend kits (or individual bulbs) for these?

As for HiD conversion, I will be doing this, I have seen them as low as £89 for a kit.
As long as the kit is BS approved you will be fine and covered by trading standards etc, I feel they are much of a muchness.
It's easy. You need a method of drilling out a 40-50mm diameter hole (can't remember exactly) from the rear of the plastic cover over the bulbs. I used a Dremel. It's very thin plastic and the outline of the hole is already stamped into the cover for you to follow. Wiring is a doddle & you really can't go wrong.
Total time for both sides is under an hour.
Yes, dipped only. I don't suppose there's any technical reason it can't be done on the other ones, but I don't know of anyone who has.
The dipped is so good that I very rarely use high-beam these days. I've got uprated Xenon bulbs in my high-beams but they still look feeble compared to the HID's.

Auto audio in park royal, west london, fitted them so well that they even move with the level control which ive heard is not always possible.
They give a lovely blue/white glow at night and light up the whole road without dazzling anyone.
