I am trying to recreate the look of the 987 Design Edition 1 on my "regular" Cayman S by adding 997 Turbo-style alloy wheels. However, the wheels seem to have different sizes. 987.1 Cayman S stock 19"wheel sizes: 8Jx18 ET57 9Jx18 ET43 8Jx19 ET57 9.5Jx19 ET46 8.5Jx19 ET55 10Jx19 ET42 997 Turbo 19" wheels: 8.5Jx19 ET54 11Jx19 ET48 Will these 997 wheels fit the Cayman, or did Porsche make smaller 997-style wheels for the Design edition?

Rear wheel offsets are quite different between 997 and 987. Some say using spacers can compensate but I'd say it's far better to get wheels with the correct offsets.

I believe the DE1 rims are 8Jx19 ET57 / 9.5Jx19 ET46 and the DE1 possibly included the 5mm spacers by default. Looks like the front/rear are part numbers 997.362.156.02 and 997.362.158.08. To answer your question, yes they did make these smaller rims for the Design Edition. Here's a whole set for sale: Original Porsche 19 inch Boxster Cayman S 987 Turbo I rims aluminum rims | eBay I think the 8.5Jx19 rim would fit fine but the 11 inch rim will take some thought and planning.
