Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Whilst I was in the mood the front PU came off, cleaned the debris out from between the radiators and gave them a good blow through with a compressed air line.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Whilst my wheels were away being refurbished and the car up on axle stands I took the opportunity to remove the wheel arch liners and give them a thorough clean. Whilst I was in the mood the front PU came off, cleaned the debris out from between the radiators and gave them a good blow through with a compressed air line. Mesh fitted to the front grills and feeling very pleased with myself. A coat of Swissvax and the cars looking a million $. The wheels came back from Lepsons today who incidentally have done a first class refurb job, and tonights task was to treat rims to a good coating of nanolex before refitting to the car. Rears on ok, front offside on ok and finally to the nearside front. To my horror I notice a damp patch on the floor directly beneath the front rads. A quick glance under the car and a couple of drips coming off the edge of the PU. CAn't be 100% but I think its the offside large radiator thats leaked so the question are; 1 Is this a DIY job to replace 2. if so where's the best place to source the rad OPC or euro parts et al and how much 3. How much if I went to OPC or indy and let them do it Thanks in anticipation[ ]

POST 2Original post

The snag is that on a Turbo, you need. PST2 or PIWIS tester to bleed the system properly. Maybe someone could chime in with some personal experience though.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard I think you've said enough already, first job tomorrow is a call to OPC followed by some indy quotes. I was tempted to do it myself as having had the front PU and cowls off already it looks fairly straight forward, I was concerned about additional coolant loss when I disconnected the rad so will see what the £ damage is in the morning. Am I right in thinking the larger rads that sit behind are coolant and the smaller ones in front are condensers for the aircon? Ash

POST 4Original post

That's correct. You can ease the aircon condensers out of the way, as there is some flex in the rubber section of the pipes. That's why it is difficult to get the water rads out without loosing a lot of coolant.
