Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I recently replaced my tires and they're really loud. I used the noise app on my Apple watch and I measure 80db at certain speeds. They say extended exposure of 80db can lead to hearing damage. It really makes it unpleasant to drive the car. I don't expect this to be a super quite luxury car but at 80db it's borderline painful. I had Michelin Pilot Super Sports in the past, they were OK when new, but gradually got louder as they got older. I replaced them with Michelin All Season 4's given my climate. I returned them due to the noise. I swapped them with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and they are no better. What tires do you have and what db reading do you get inside your car? If you don't have a noise measuring app on your phone or watch, there are several in the app stores that you can get. Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

The tires will make noise do to heat cycles and compounds of the tires. Mine usually make noise when they are cold but quiet down after a few miles of driving. Due to the headers and exhaust I can’t hear any tire noise now.
