This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
I'm a newbie looking for first Porsche, currently run SL320, fiqured it's a good time to finally tick that 911 box. Budgeted up to £15,000. quite like a Cabriolet version, what do you think I'll get for the money, and what spec. should I avoid, or look for???
Any opinions appreciated. Or any links to pass postings will also do.
cheers Dan
something like this?

We thought about a cabrio before we bought our coupe 996C2 but were put off partly by the shape (but that's up to you) but mostly because the rear seat backs are very upright, almost leaning forward, so being very uncomfortable for our lanky daughter who we already have to fold in half just to get in the thing.
This is to allow more space for the cabriolet gubbins behind the seats. Make sure you check this out if you need to use the rear seats.
Good Luck!
Thanks for your reply, the rear seats are important to us, as we have a 5 and 7 year old. Is the space in the coupe and cabriolet that different? also how long have you run your 996, and any other pointers?
cheers,
Rear seating space in coupe a bit more than in Cab owing to Whailtale's explanation. He describes them as upright; me I'm convinced they're at an accute angle to the seat squab! Try before you buy anyway. Else get the best of both worlds - a Targa!

You won't believe this Explorer 1 but we're picking it up tomorrow!
We found that the headroom is a little restricted in the targa but the cab really is a no-no for us
I've got 16, 14 and 12 year old kids and a cabriolet - it aint a problem. If we're going any distance (very very infrequently) in it, they take a wee cushion to put at the small of their back which corrects the seating position to something more normal.
