Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

As the title says, has anyone found the 996.1 headlamp washers in use on any other cars at a greatly reduced price? These particular ones seem to be 3 times the price of everything else. I've taken my broken one apart and can't find any gold, rhodium or titanium within it so struggling to see why they are so expensive!
Only practical solution is new ones from Porsche as the cheapest source, ask for a discount and most will give 10% on parts. But yes, £150 each... any used ones will have been out in UV and the weather and are likely as old as the car it came off so will have a much shorter life.
Take a deep breath and get that wallet out.
I have the same dilemma. One is leaking from the body, but 150 is criminal for what it is. I never even use them.
Think I'll go down the removal route and purchase the light corners without the holes. They seem to be about 50 each though.....for a piece of plastic!
I've replaced many parts over the last few years, and most have been pretty reasonably priced, but these bloomin washer jets makes me cross!
Yeah, suspension component costs have been palatable but will have to bite the bullet on this, the blanks aren't that much cheaper than replacing one washer. Thanks all.
I had a missing nozzle so replaced with an e46 item from £15. I had the bumper off for another job and I notice that the previous owner had removed the hoses for the headlight washers and blanked them off by winding a bolt into the end of the hoses and securing with a jubilee.
I'd never noticed they weren't working as they are pointless things anyway. If mine hadn't been blanked off then I;d be doing that if they were leaking rather than spending £150 on something that's useless.
Unless you have Litronics fitted as an extra to a non-turbo car. They were available as an aftermarket extra without the auto height adjustment and washers.
I believe that you only need the washers on cars built after 2009 from an MOT perspective

I changed one of mine with one from a breaker as it sprayed water all over the place. I had to have two attempts to get a good one. If you buy one, stipulate that there are no cracks in the head or the body. I plugged the first one in and it just leaked directly from the body when not being used.
