Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Unfortunately,my bonnet switch was pushed downwards rather than pulled up and it has snapped down. Now, there's a hole there with the switch below. I'm now using the key fob to open the bonnet. Can anyone please give me some advice how to recover it ? Thanks

POST 2Original post

There are x2 plastic caps on the side of this trim .. you need to remove then with either thumb nail or a small flat bladed screwdriver . Move the seat as needed to get access . You insert a 5mm allen key .. you have to get it in the bolt head which is basically straight in .. it's a bit difficult to get in but you'll do it eventually... just twist the allen key .. you can feel if your on the bolt head or if it drops to one side . Undo both about 3 turns .. you then with a trim tool lever the panel upwards starting at the back .. its held in place by trim clips and the allen key bolts . Find the switch and push it back in place . refit is a reversal of the above .
