Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'd have to check the dimensions but maybe you could rig something up so the Cayman could carry a full spare or even just a doughnut, and the jack equipment.

I sure hope so as mine will replace my Boxster which has been a daily drive!
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

That was the only complaint my wife gave me, the fact that it is a two seater, I replied it wouldn't matter if it was a one seater since we never use my car and use her SUV all other times.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

gbn,
That is exactly what my wife said! And here again when we go anywhere in town we always take her SUV. I would never consider trying to find safe parking in Waikiki for my Cayman! When we do take my current car
BMW
I drive my wife crazy because I will walk a mile just to park where no other cars are nex to me.

RussK; my wife says the same thing. Although I finally have her trained to look for the 'safe' parking area. But I do that already with any car I drive. Now she just thinks of the good exercise it causes.
I have a little
Toyota
P/U for surfing and driving to places I would not want to take my Cayman. Besides I need something for my sufboard and I would never put a board on the top of a Cayman. I won't even drive my Bimmer when it is raining, can't stand mud and dirt.

For the first time I'm going to use the Porsche as my almost daily driver. I've got a Murano to carry the dogs, big loads & forreal short trips where the engine can't warm up. My wife has her G35 coupe.

I hate seeing any damage to my cars, and having to take the car to the dealership is a pain on you know what. One discussion I have not seen yet was on the quality of Porsche dealers - it would be interesting to gauge people feelings - I will post a new topic, so we can get some feedback.
Euroboy,
I have a real hard time driving my car to a shopping center of even to the market. It is just so much less stressful to take my truck.
I am also concerned about the quality of the Porsche customer service and service in general.
BMW
has always been great, but all that is about to change.

I use my present 911 as a daily driver and am okay with it except when I have to haul stuff. I figure the greater capacity of the Cayman is an improvement over the
Carrera
.
The only reason why I wouldn't use it everyday is due to the lack of a spare tire. The spare tire in my boxster saved my neck twice. As for the reason why my
tires
were worn down so often, the tire store people stated that I needed to calm down on the throttle when taking those twisty turns. Needless to say, I was having too much fun and ended up going through 4 sets of
tires
w/ only 30,000 miles.
I'd have to check the dimensions but maybe you could rig something up so the Cayman could carry a full spare or even just a doughnut, and the jack equipment. Just a thought.
I don't think I have ever had a car that did not have a spare tire. No extra rim, hummm. I guess as long as we don't have a full on blowout or a bad slice the kit should work.

Mine will DEFINITELY be my daily driver. If I have to take it where damage could occur, I always have the kids ZX2!!! Of course he will want to take my car then and that will be an emphatic NO. I am hoping that the reliability will be there but it is only a 40mile roundtrip for work and on days off don't go alot of places but of course that could all change....
Regarding the issue of a daily driver, I guess I will wait and see before I let go of my sedan. We too take my wife's SUV (RX330) most of the time.
Regarding safe parking, I wish I had a dime for all the miles I have logged parking at the extreme ends of parking lots all my life. Losing a fortune like many of us did when the tech bubble broke does not bother me as much as a ding on my car does. Yes, my wife has finally gotten used to walking also.
Regarding quality of dealerships, I doubt if any of them are going to come close to the pampering I have gotten used to at
Lexus
, but then again if you want a Porsche bad enough, you gotta pay the price in more ways than one.
I think the Cayman has an option for a spare in selected countries. You could order one for your car. If not I'll bet a spare setup from a Boxster S would work.
I am not worried about not having a spare either. I have not a had a flat in approx. 10 years of driving. Haven't even had a leaker. And, if worse comes to worse, I'l be on the phone to AAA for a flatbed ride to nearest tire shop.
Chuck,
We bought a new home in a housing project that has been under construction for the last 3 years, and in that time I have had 5 flat
tires
! I hope that is my quota!
