Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The thing you need to remember to do is disconnect the alarm cable from the oem radio surround or it beeps when your lock the car

I was also looking at this unit to replace my Kenwood KDC -BT 53U in my 01 996.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had a Kenwood KIV-700 in my car from the previous owner and it was always the sore spot in my interior: Just looked totally out of place and I didn't like the functionality at all.
Having discovered the Continental TR7412UB about a year ago I finally pulled the trigger on one. My problem was that my car is equipped with the M490 Nokia amplifier. Bergvill F/X from Norway (
https://www.bergvillfx.no/products/iso-cable-porsche-996boxster-m490
) makes and adapter for this, which I purchased as otherwise I would have needed a new ISO-C plug and a line to speaker level converter, both of which are included in the Bergville kit. With this wiring loom the unit is completely plug-n-play!
Since my car already had an aftermarket radio I only had to swap the metal frame for the one that comes with the Continental. If you still have an OE radio you'll need to trim the center console a little as the opening is not wide enough to be true 1DIN.
Sound quality is great and the built-in Bluetooth HF and A2DP works great! 100% satisfied with this despite having to buy the adapter loom. Total cost all-in was ~200€
I have one of these, and agree the look, bluetooth and sound are good. On FM I get interference that matches the revs, I read something about earthing the cage which may solve it, but I haven't tried that yet.

This my seem to be a strange question, but with my hood down its impossible to read the display
How bright is the display ?
I've been thinking about fitting one of these to replace my PCM1. They're probably one of the best period looking options although the fact the display is the opposite of the AC and dash would bother me. I'm contemplating one of these cheapo amazon jobs as it actually has a better spec. Thinking I could give modifying the facia a go since it's so cheap.

I installed the Continental Stereo last year and had someone sort the wiring as had no sound to the speakers. Have a Kenwood Amp installed behind the drivers seat.
Have sound but seems all seems to come from the dash speakers with muffled sound from the door speakers.
I went for the Blaupunkt London 470 as it supports the amp with a £5 adapter from design911 (eg front and rear pre-outs). It also has a cd
