Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My C2 has a sunroof, (I know I should be ashamed . I have a curious issue when operating it, I have to cycle through tilt, close and then it opens. One touch doesn't work. Anybody have an idea where to start with this? I've tried holding close button in for 10 seconds (read somewhere this resets the thing, but to no avail). :?

POST 2Original post

To reset the roof you have to hold the button through an entire cycle; its about 10 seconds until it even starts the reset process Method stolen from 6speedonline.... 1. Press open button until it stops. Release button. 2. Press the open button again until it stops a second time (it should completely retract on the second push). Release button. 3. Press open button again and hold. After approximately 10 seconds, the top will cycle through close/lift/lower/open/close. Be sure to keep the button pressed the entire time until the top closes the second time, then release the button. You should now have one-touch!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll give that a go, thanks. I'll report back :worship: Nope, just stays fully open :nooo:

POST 4Original post

Very familiar as exactly the same as mine.... I bought a new and genuine sunroof switch and does not seem to have made a difference, issue then could be on the motor apparently/memory. To get the cycle the open button did not do it, but if you open the tilt and hold the tilt button for 10secs it then cycled for me. One touch open would then work and close but only if you let it fully open. Just accepted that's its a pain and 5secs more work to operate the sunroof but not enough to chase a cure at who knows what expense!

POST 5Original post

Don't be ashamed about a sun roof I actually went looking for a sun roof coupe. Love driving with the roof open or tilted listening to the flat 6. We should all feel sorry for the non sun roof cars they are missing out.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think mine is the switch, worth popping it out and a liberal dosing with contact cleaner. It is after all 20 years old.

POST 7Original post

Hopefully just the switch as you say, i'd assumed the same but no joy it seems, but not a huge issue to live with for the extra few seconds needed to operate the roof!
