What's the consensus on MY02 (The narrow 5-spoke lightweight Carrera wheels) on a 996.1 (Fried eggs). I love the idea of super light wheels, but haven't seen this setup before. Does anybody have this setup so I could better visualize it?
Not a rare combo. I think it's one of the better wheel choices for the platform: looks OEM, the right size, light, OEM quality, and they're not that expensive I think :

I recently picked up a set for my 99 996 C4 . Did some horse trading for them . I like the simple look of them , being lightweight and OEM is a bonus . And finally you are not going to find a wheel any easier to clean . Looking forward to getting them installed after my current tires get used up .

I bent one of these going 40 when I hit a small pot hole. They bend easily.
I agree with GC 996 . Mine have been great on my 964. And that's with some winter driving. But I did get in trouble once for dodging giant potholes and someone thought I might be under the influence. A good whack on a low profile tire would be hard for any wheel.
