Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Discussions that suspect a cause
1

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suspected cause

They all seem to do that, which is due to the tyre width.

Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

Leading evidence: 'tyre width' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'tyre width' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 1 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

On my C4, I have noticed a slight vibration through the steering wheel when on full lock moving forwards (either side). To my knowledge it wasn't there before, but i don't go on full lock often either. There are no obvious signs of rubbing on the tyres/wheel arches. Could it be something to do with front driveshafts? Is this a common C4 experience? Thanks, Steve

POST 2Original post

Is this the same as the 'skipping' you get when reversing slowly on full lock? They all seem to do that, which is due to the tyre width. The outside edge having to travel further than the inside causes the tyre to skip - usually noticeable on wet or slippery surfaces. If it isn't that, maybe a wheel bearing or driveshaft joint? Neither are common problems on the front.

POST 3Original post

Glad someone mentioned this, I was going to post, I have wondered whether mine was rubbing but couldn't see Porsche releasing a car on standard suspension that rubbed.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all, I am getting those exact sympoms over loose ground so assuming no other issues i will leave as is. Steve

POST 5Original post

Just to say I to get the same skipping effect on full lock when reversing,Idid think it was a wheel rubbing seems I found my answer cheers guys Paul c4s(x51)996

POST 6Original post

Thanks Richard. Just about to post exact same problem. Is there a remedy/cure, apart from not using full lock? Oh, happy and prosperous new year to everyone. Shahid

POST 7Original post

Big fat tyres + Full Lock == Tyres skipping. Cure. Fit narrower tyres... (No, didn't think you'd want to do that...!) [ ]
