Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, sorry to repeat a similar topic, previously I enquired about control arms and decided upon getting the Hartech refurbs. But I had a call with Hartech this morning regarding getting some replacement refurb coffin arms and alas they have informed me they can't get them anymore, so looking for an alternative again. Has anyone had any experience with Spyder Performance control arms? The price seems too good to be true compared to the competition but can't find anything negative about them except that the bushing hole is a little larger than stock that seems only to affect those trying to polybush. My next choice is CTE as Hartech mentioned on the phone thats what they reccomend and can be purchased at Eurocarparts. I've been put off Meyle's as I've seen to many forums where people were unable to get them into alignment spec.

POST 2Original post

Fitted some top mounts and control arms from them last week. Appears to be top quality gear. Haven't used the car much since, but the brief runs it has had the front end feels a whole lot better.

POST 3Original post

Completely did all arms on my C2 recently all with Spyder Performance parts they are really good quality and at a great price. They also ship quickly so can't recommend them enough.

POST 4Original post

Fitted Spyder coffin arms and tuning forks a few weeks ago. Fitted fine and there were no problems having the geo done. 1000 mile in and no problems

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Spyder Performance it is then. Ordered now, went for their Spyder Performance Superior ones. Don't know if they are better built or just finished a little neater but only a few pounds more an arm so worth a shot.

No rubber bushes still see below: https://www.spyderperformance.co.uk...rack-control-arm-with-ball-joint-99634105318/ Compared to the standard ones: https://www.spyderperformance.co.uk...rack-control-arm-with-ball-joint-99634105318/ Looking at the pictures the finish seems to be different and so is the casting having a few differences, no idea if the rubber is any different but comes with a 3 year guarantee as well rather than the 2 on the other parts.
