Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Air condensers, air con rads and a regas were all done at the end of September 2009...since then I have done about 6000 miles. The aircon does not seem to be blowing out cold air...it is coolish, but not cold. Ideas anyone? Thanks Debbie

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That sounds like a big job...?[ ]

POST 4Original post

Could be the dreaded stone through the condenser. Mine lasted 6 weeks from new before one met that fate..........[ ]

POST 5Original post

You need to find out if it has a leak first, as it sounds like it is low on gas. Also take a look under the driver's side sill, and you will see two 20mm pipes running from front to back. Look for bright green oily patches. If so, that's your problem. (Ask me how I know!). If they look OK, take it to an aircon specialist, and they can do a leak test. Or go to Kwik-Fit and get them to regas it. They should check for leaks, and if they can't re-gas it, they don't charge.

POST 6Original post

Mine has the 2 pipes slightly squashed from some moron who didnt know how to jack properly (before i bought the car), do you think that affects the coolness much?

POST 7Original post

If they are only slightly squashed, and not ruptured, you shouldn't have a problem. One of mine had pinholed where it goes through one of the plastic clips.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, Richard I shall investigate...

POST 9Original post

The amount of idiots that squash those A/C pipes jacking cars not just 996's lots of rear engine cars. Monkeys.
