Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bought two new Pirelli N4s at £120 each. Wheel alignment at local garage is £20 using the laser beams. OPC say £200 for them to align. Incidentally OPC would not match the tyre prices even with the wheel alignment and required £20 more for two front tyres. I wasn't impressed with that. Where should I go ? Dave

POST 2Original post

For a simple cheap fix any decent garage or bodyshop would have the gear but if you want your car to handle 100% perfect and I mean 100% go here: http://www.centergravity.co.uk/ CoG is not just getting your tracking done it is an experience. They will even weigh you then fill your car with weights to mimic your impact on the suspension! Now that is serious stuff. The Honda S2000 was a terrible car for geometry going slack over time but once Chris at CoG has his hands on the car for a few hours you won't believe the difference. The service is also mobile and will come to you.

POST 3Original post

Dave, the geo adjustment on a 996 is way more involved than a simple alignment. It is a 2 hour job and covers adjustment to toe, camber, tracking and alignment. IMO I wouldn't go anywhere near the local £20 job.
