Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I changed a dozen hoses when I replaced my broken water pump and blew out the residue in the engine. Trust me, there is a gallon and a half of air pockets in this configuration. When you fill it, rev the engine and keep pouring coolant in. When you think you've filled it, cap it off and drive it a short distance. Don't be surprised when the low coolant light comes on. Top it up and keep going. I had no coolant in my oil but was sure my engine was blown and ready to tear down looking for a head gasket leak. Only then did it stop needing coolant. : Peter __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here:
