Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

red pigments also are sometimes not too stable, and i suspect thats the probelm with boxster red- it always looks like its faded- in which casei t will only get worse...
Leading evidence: 'thats the probelm' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'thats the probelm' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys,
I'm after everyones personal opinion on an interior colour of a 996 Turbo I'm looking at. The outer colour is silver, the inner is Boxter Red. The other half really likes it, but I'm worried about the re-sale value of the car. I value your opinions and you all clearly know your Porsches, so; will it make that much difference?
Many thanks guys, much appreciated.
The interior in particular narrows your potential market
However you should buy the car for yourself, not the next potential owner, just factor it in to negotiations
Sorry, but red is a no-no for me personally - inside definitely and outside unless it's a Ferrari or something where there really is no alternative (e.g. If I got offered a 959 in red for £50k or something!)
I'd have a guards red 996 with savannah interior like a shot, so what the hell do I know about taste other than my own?
You'd have to pay me to have a boxster red interior though. Not a fan at all. Sorry if I've offended anyone.
However, if you like it, sure as heck someone else will. Especially if you don't tell them it's unpopular.
red interior on a silver car is a classic combo in my opinion...
...however the boxter red ive seen always looks too orange/brown, and doesnt really work. needs to be a deeper red than that.
red pigments also are sometimes not too stable, and i suspect thats the probelm with boxster red- it always looks like its faded- in which casei t will only get worse...
The above advice is spot on.
This was the only colour combo I wanted when I bought my 996. When I did find one that met the other criterion, I found the OPC very 'accommodating' on the price to swap. At the next trade-in I think the very low miles and condition kept the colour out of the equation as it was never mentioned.
I must admit though it was like owning a rather large jar of
Marmite
I love silver cars with red leather but the when porsche do the interior they go too far they cover everything in it, IMO it should be coloured seats (red) with black dash and red door cards that breaks it up then.
Think ive seen the TT you are talking about on autotrader.
Is this the one ?

You wil lose some money anyway so I would just go for it if you like it what does it matter? I have a spped yellow c4 cab with dark blue leather and yellow stitching everywhere!! and I think it looks great, no doubt people willboth agree and disagree
