Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Ok my worst nightmare.. and its passed halloween. Decided to put in an aftermarket stereo. Pretty easy setup. Wired it up and it works. Now come the issue... I wanted to tap into the fuse panel for an accessory tap. After looking at all the forum right ups there was no consistency into what i could tap into ( which fuse )soo..... i turned the key to acessory and started pulling fuses until if found one. I had gone through about 10 fuses. I had also removed the cover under neath the steering wheel to hide all the wires. Put the fuses back and decided to start the car.... A bunch of fault code came up and the car wont start. A loud noise of fans turning on in the front of the car whirling at excessive speeds. Cannot start the car because it tells me to depress the clutch ( which i am ) I tried to clear the fault codes with the durametric cable but they are not cleared. Since it's telling you to depress the clutch have you tried bypassing the clutch starter interlock switch? It seems to be a fairly common problem on 987.1 cars. Other than that possibility nothing stands out to me. Not sure why the faults won't clear. I suspect that many will once the car is running.

POST 3Original post

Thanks. Ironically it was a simple fix. It had to do with three fuses that had not been installed. Once the fuses were in and i hooked up the battery all the errors went away and i am good as gold.

After reading down your list I was not sure if I should cry or laugh. I learned many years ago that when it comes to OBCs, and smart phones for that matter, they are a lot smarter than I am. I'm happy to read that everything worked out in the end.
