Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Help me out here guys before they go back up in price.

POST 2Original post

Option 1... I mean how many times do you think she's done that with shoes or jewellery?

POST 3Original post

Turbo owners would stand up and take it like a man ... but if your wife is bigger than you, 1 might be the better option

POST 4Original post

On the downside the white noise increases but just look at the plus side

POST 5Original post

Go down the honesty route (after the event) or she'll be using it against you for the rest of your life. As they say, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. :bandit:

POST 6Original post

Tin hat on and get it bought. If she's against it she'll be impossible to talk round. If you buy it and she goes in an almighty huff - so what, you've got your car to play with and love!!!

POST 7Original post

lol, love the way no-one has voted for no. 4. :floor:

POST 8Original post

I've bought two cars secretly in the past - a brand new Audi TT and my 993! With the Audi I just collected my OH from the station in the dark and she didn't really notice straight away (my previous car was the same colour inside and out quattro coupe) :wack: With the 993 I took her with me to 're-do' a mystery shop at AFN Reading, adn when we pulled up in the TT I just said, "what do you think of that one?" (pointing to my 993) and fortunately she said she liked it... Don't think I'd get away with it now though... :lock:

POST 9Original post

I've got a 996 C4S and while it was having some work done I was given a silver Cayman for 2 days her indoors never even commented - I later asked and she said she couldnt tell the difference

POST 10Original post

''Buy a silver one and transfer the plate and say I have had some body mods done to my C2'' Just buy it, especially if its your money. Tell her you'd thought of offering her some body mods of her own but decided a) She was perfect as she was (not wanting to offend) or b) You didn't want to throw good money after bad (This will result in you becoming single) :dont know:

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dear postee's, Your responce's and advice have really got me howling here! :floor: :floor: :floor: Slipped a hidden message in today as we saw a TT passing: "Darling that's a Turbo there. Did you know that the insurance is much cheaper than this car AND it is turbo charged" No responce "It is because they are seldom stolen or crashed and are of a lesser risk" "Oh" she replied. It's a good job my poor old current C2 cannot read his(nothing feminine about a Porsche in my eyes) future is not looking too bright and i'm sure he would be pissed!

POST 12Original post

This is my story. Previously I had a M5 and later a Corvette C5. My girlfriend liked my Corvette but I was nagging about getting a M5 again, which she doesnt like. One saturday afternoon when I saw a M5 passing by I asked her what she tought of it. She didn't like it. And then she asked me, if we could go to Porsche? Well of course I sat in some cars and she did also, she liked the cayman S but it was to small and I told her that I wouldn't get one and the only car I wanted was a 996TT and she told me that she didn't knew exactly how it looked. We found one and the salesman came buy and opened the car for us and she took som laps around the car and looked at it closely. I could feel that she liked it. The salesman told us to take a test drive but I did not want to :hand:. I told her that I haven't given a Porsche so much tought and she replied that I should drive one. :wack: The next weekend she nagged about how she wanted a test drive in the 996TT, so we went to the same dealer, again. We took a drive and I drove it really carefully until the engine was warmed up. Then I floored it from standing and she only made a " ohh my good" and I had her quiet for the rest of the trip. :drive: After the testdrive she told me I looked really good in this car and should get one, but in black (the car I drove was silver). I couldn't agree more with her so I followed her orders and got one

POST 15Original post
